The principle in three sentences
You face a grid of people, places and objects. Each card is “guilty” or “innocent”, and it's up to you to work out which. Every card you find reveals a clue that helps you find the next ones, until the full solution.
What makes a deduction game satisfying
- One possible solution: each investigation is built so that only one answer is logical.
- Several kinds of clues: neighbors (diagonals included), counts in a row, odd or even, “no innocent among the journalists”…
- Three tabs that answer each other: a clue about a place can clear a person, an object can betray its owner.
- A refusal that teaches: when the game refuses your answer, it's information, not a punishment.
